I moved mine today, to the right side of the steering wheel... where the HUD control would be if I had it. Want to be able to see it if I choose to, with a slight movement of my head.

I didn't measure it, but I'd say the harness to the brain unit is probably 18" and then you have another 18"-24" from the brain unit to the Control unit. Plenty of length to mount it about anywhere...
