Where are people mounting the hobbs switch? A long section of vacuum and mounting hobbs near fuel pump? Or small section of vacuum and mounting hobbs in engine bay, then route wires back?

What about 275/35/20? I talked to tire store and there is 1/2 inch (shorter) difference between my tires at 275/40 and 275/35. That sounds like it would work for rub issue and max diff in radius
