The stock LS3 intake will not move enough air that the LSX454 requires. You need to use the LS7 intake or the one they show in the Redline video.

I have seen people bring thier pets to tracks but tracks are not fun places for animals. Can be very noisy, hot and dangerous if they get off of the leash. I would find a babysitter.

Don't worry about it. The car is built for it and chances are you already drive it as hard on the street as you will on the track. Nobody hides thier plates at the track. Just run it and have fun.
