It is ridiculous how much room these 5th gens have up front when you take out all stuff for comforts. Almost feels like the engine bay of a 79-93 mustang.

Sealant in drivers compartment is worth about 8 pounds. This is just what we scraped with a torch and scrapers. Took a wire wheel to get more out.

With a stage 2 cam ported heads likely wont do it at all. Going to need a stage 4, ported heads and ported or aftermarket intake

I have only had one issue with my V8 that wasn't caused by me. And that would be the stupid key issue where you can't get the key out of the ignition.

To do Rocker arms on an L99 wouldn't he need to do lifters since the stock AFM/DOD ones suck ass for the upgraded springs? IMO If he did rockers it would make more sense to just do a cam.

Good news. Swapped back to stock cooler. Filled with fluid(7.5 quarts...) and appears to be fine.
