Just do a thorough flush promptly of the entire system. Use distilled water to refill. You can also do a second flush with a neutralizer to be safe. 5 years is the limit before the silicone starts...

No. When they go: they go. Some have driven 50-60k on them. You can, however, get underneath and check for leaks/oil on the mags. And replacement mags from an authorized dealer have a lifetime...

Hah. You seem to be jumping all over the place. Just because the battery "appears" to be in good condition means absolutely nothing. Check the voltage before starting and while starting.

Yes. The isolator is inside the sc snout side, so you just remove the whole snout assembly, and there's your isolator. I'd say a 6 hour job.

That is where it goes. Because of numerous failures (probably because it's painted sheet metal) as long as you have it off, you may want to ground it to the frame with a good bolt and dielectric.
