I believe they are kind of hand in hand. A better explanation of launch control could possibly eliminate or reduce some of the "bog" that is being experienced by drivers.
Unfortunately, having spent a great deal of time reading the manual trans ZL1 issues.... I suspect that this will all come down to just an overdone torque management system that will require a tune/reprogram to correct..
