The engine will gain a little, but nothing worthwhile to justify $4.99 a gallon for 110. Older street rods are Iron headed which required a blend. I had a 428 Pontiac which was 11.5 to 1 and ran on a blend of Sunoco 94 and 110. You now have cooler engined, aluminum heads which allow for higher compression and lower octane. Add in computer controlled timing and you only need to run 93 octane.
The recommended fuel is 91. I use 93 here. Using 100 octane would do very little to improve anything other than drain your wallet.

It's got a cop motor, a 440 cubic inch plant, it's got cop tires, cop suspension, cop shocks. It's a model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas. What do you say, is it the new Bluesmobile or what?
