My target with the CURT module was to avoid a long routing of cables.
But for the rework I've got to do it.
The turn signal I've took from the front.
I've used some switchback LED's for the DRL.
In parallel I've connected the front side markers and the rear turn signal.
In Germany the side markers are not street legal.
With the parallel connected turn signals to the front DRL I need no resistor
to avoid the error message because of the missing bulb.
In the rear I've cut the original brake-turn-signal
and used a 2Ohm 50W resistor to avoid the error message.
The signal for the brake light I've took from the 3rd brake light in the trunk lid
and draw the voltage over a relay directly from the battery.
The board is placed next the battery.
The second relay on the board is for the rear fog lights.
So from lights point of view the Z/28 is now street legal
In my next post I'll show you what beautiful location I've found for some additional switches.
You'll be suprised...
