Since I track my car, running a bigger pulley combo, run at higher RPM (due to road racing), he felt these would give me what I needed for tracking a higher boosted engine. These were tailored to my usage/engine setup. I’ve had 0 issues, no knock/detonation.
There are other reasons, but those were why we went with those for my application.
FYI, no noise interference with the non resistor plugs...
