I think the belt was already weak, but since I broke the line lock switch I tried to start the wheels spinning then hit the break with my left foot. Problem is working with two 13EEEEEE feet there isn't a lot of room down there to get it right. When I lifted the clutch I didn't give enough gas to keep the wheels spinning and those big 15's bit and the car just died in the burnout box. That might have done it but I don't know. I just know that after the tire shake quit the car wasn't pulling like it was before so I know the belt was already somewhat compromised.
I sent Rdunn a private message about this and fortunately for me he also has an F-1X cog drive set up. He said that he never had any belt issues until he went up to 30 psi. He suggests that we take a close look at the supercharger at WOT to see if it is flexing/moving. If so, then that could throw the belt and he said that the supercharger would need some additional bracing to keep it steady.
Items I am looking at for the next shop date:
1. New belt
2. Custom belt guard/cage
3. Check for supercharger movement under WOT
4. Discuss 2 step launch controller
5. Engine check over to make sure nothing else was damaged
6. Giving serious consideration to pulling the suction restrictor and just rolling the dice, cause when I go for the record I plan to be all in.
