1. You can run them thru the headrest uprights but if the seat does not have pass thru openings, I am not sure I would use them for anything road course or even street use. I would use them for autocross only on a safe courses with very limited chances of hitting anything.
2. Not able to tell you about advantages or disadvantages since you have not stated the general use of these belts. I didn’t care to use a CG lock because of potential damage to my OEM belts.
