I have had a couple extended cabs and didn't like any of them. Sold a 2004 Duramax a few days ago with a tuner and only 97,000 miles. The thing was a tank. My new 1500 will kick its as every witch way except seating.

Im not convinced a Duramax will pull 6,000 lbs faster then a Regular Cab 5.3. I have owned both and pulling the same load the regular cab feels faster. It will be faster once the super charger is on it.

I don't think I will ever understand the current craze of rolling coal in a big ass slow truck.
I too still have my 05 duramax and have been on the fence on what to do about replacing it, like yours it only got 95k miles, only gets used anymore to tow my 24' enclosed trailer and road trips but that don't justify the cost of a new one.

Been debating gas truck for some time. I'm guessing you didn't have much trouble selling your 04 and did pretty good money wise, they seem to be a big demand for them yet for sure.
