This isn't really a fair comparison. The H3 as mentioned later is. This is actually a pretty capable off-road package-and if you really do off road, fancy interiors are not good. The terrain is more a comparison to the normal crossovers from Toyota. The Cruiser has real wheels/tires/transaxles/low range/locking axles- it's a pretty sturdy beast and I've seen them in places you could never dream of taking a Terrain. I'm not drinking the Kool-aid, my hunting rig is a Dodge- but Toyota makes a pretty good off road rig.

No, it's a retro nod to this ^. Along with Jeep, probably the most respected off-road vehicle on the planet for reliability + capability. You've got 50 year old FJs roaming Africa still. If anything, the H2 & 3 was a Land Cruiser/Land Cruiser Jr. wannabe. And unfortunately, with Hummers demise- GM makes nothing even close in capability to the FJ.
I realize you guys hate Toyota, but you can't just dispense with all logic and take away even the credit they do deserve.
