Need more info.
Run a scan and see what codes are present.
Compare actual engine coolant temp and idle air temp.
Scan should help point you in right direction, but if actual engine coolant temp is high than you can expect that you have an actual overheat condition.
If actual engine coolant temp is normal, then you probably have a bad sensor or wiring problem.
Tools I use to diagnose problems like this, scan tool, multi meter, and infrared thermometer.
