Polarized does more than blue light. It only lets light pass that is hitting the lens at a certain angle. If you hold two up to each other and turn them 90 degrees they go black. Nothing passes. On my Boat electronics if I look at it with my head tilted the screen will go blank same with the HUD.[/QUOTE]


Oh yeah, I get this. I have prescription glasses, and up until my most recent pair, I've always had a set of polarized sunglasses as well. They cut glare significantly. With polarized lenses, it's definitely dimmer though I still never had a problem reading it. If I tilted my head sideways though, it was a lot more visible.
