Yes, I have tracked with various thickness spacers on 2 different cars since 2007, my '14 1LE and my '95 Z28. 3mm, 5mm, 7mm, 9mm, 12mm, 20mm. Never had any issues, buy quality billet spacers (not die cast) that are hub centric. The thicker ones are also wheel centric. Pay attention to the details, like cleanliness, lugnut torque, stud length, proper "star" pattern tightening. My daily driver GMC Sierra 1500 crewcab also has 1"/1.25" spacers.
