Interesting story. I can't believe the detained you for so long without giving you a breathalyzer or anything. I'm with others who would have been upset to see my car following me without me driving it. No need for someone else to drive it.

I'm grateful for anyone who takes the time to make sure that the person that is behind the wheel is not intoxicated. I almost lost my wife going on 6 years ago now to a drunk driver. It was only by an act of God that she's still alive today.
I must say that I am impressed at your level of patience with those officers. My goodness that had to be annoying to be waiting all that time to get through that checkpoint.
