I am just trying to understand how low they would need to get to in order to make this a viable route.
Also I am interested in the wrecked count of 50. Are these cars that were completely unsalvageable or would a car that was a rebuilt salvage be considered in this number?

I wouldnt touch the car until they got to the mid-high 20’s. It needs body components, paint, on top of it missing ~6k$ in brake pieces. (1440$/rotor and 450x2 for pads, albeit its been a long time since ive priced it all out).
The 50 salvage cars, are mostly total losses. A couple of them have been put back on the road. Much like this car, its a salvage title car, but obviously driveable. In general, a salvage vehicle has an extremely diminished value. You’re never going to get your money back in most cases. We see it all the time down here with our floods. You can score badass cars for next to nothing, “professionally repaired” or not.
