Although I was disappointed at not getting a custom grind, I went head and installed it. I really didn't even think about the fact that I overpaid until later. When I realized I got ripped off, I decided that I would never spend another dime with that particular vendor. I'm not gonna start a big fight over a few bucks, but I certainly won't give that vendor another chance to reach into my wallet either.

If it seems like I am being vague about the vendor, I am. On the off chance it was some kind of honest mistake, I don't want to drag a guy's name through the mud.

All that being said, the cam actually works pretty good in the car. It made 466 whp on a Mustang dyno yesterday, so I guess all's well that ends well. If I can't get the car into the 11s with this cam, I will probably try a GPI cam next.
Replacing the cam can and is a pricey experience on my Camaro. You have to deal with the AC and then there the 'up charge' for pulling the blower. While the heads are off we'll be getting them ported. Even my wife agreed that would be 'cost effective' while it's tore down. So, are you doing your own cam install or do you have a trusted shop? Also, glad to hear that your tune smoothed things out a bit.
