Racer56...I had a similar situation/ experience. I am in NJ and had Jerry of Jerry’s Speed Shop do most of the work. As for the heads and block... since I was in the exact or similar situation you are in, Lingenfelter built the short block and conditioned the heads to support PC route if I was interested in the future. Jerry’s did a phenomenal job and in addition, of all of the performance shops that I have ever worked with in the past, this shop and his faculty were the most honest and trustworthy I have experienced thus so far.
