Your tuner should be able to adjust for most of your concerns. Your cam is not that crazy and shouldn’t have bad manners with a good tune. Idle shouldn’t take long to find and it should bounce around +/-50 RPMs of where it is set. When cruising, you should be fine with no bucking with the RPMs about 1,500-1,600 RPMs (although under light load it might kick a little). Above 2,000 you should be smooth sailing. It makes me think you have a misfire if you are experience a buck above 2,000. I wonder if you have a plug fouled up.
