Just curious about the stories I've heard that the smaller wheel sizes won't clear Brembo brakes. and the wheels that DO clear the Brembo brakes won't fit in the spare tire well.

Though the front and rear rim/tire are different sizes on the SS, they have the same diameter. So the front wheel could be used on the rear without damage to the differential. I bought a used factory Camaro front rim, put at 245/45/20 tire on it, and strapped it in. It is not in the spare tire well. It's sitting securely in the trunk.
