So the cam, gears, and converter are in, now all I need are my wheels. I had ordered some 18" wheels to help launch this thing. I ordered 2 C6 Grand Sport reproduction wheels in charcoal gray finish, since they weren't available (advertised) in a silver finish. However when I opened the 2 boxes, I saw this-
The vendor corrected it quickly enough, and I was able to exchange the charcoal gray wheel for another silver wheel, since that was what I originally wanted anyway, a 5-spoke wheel that didnt stick out like a sore thumb with the front stockers, but something that gave the car a look of purpose.. the look of a car whose purpose is to drag race. The replacement came within 3 days, and it was time to mount them up!

Turn on the Poison - Nothin but a Good Time
The Camaro was now ready for its first trip to the drag strip with the new setup! I went to my local 1/8 mile track after work, and only made 3 passes, back to back, unfortunately, as I got there shortly before they were closing. Heres a short video, I spun the tires right through 1st gear and basically went right into 2nd due to track prep and not getting much of a burnout at all. I can't find the slip for this, but the et was 7.6@~93mph.
I felt there was so much more left on the table; that my tires needed a LOT more heat, and a good track prep. It was October, after all, so temps and DA were low, and this was primo time for some passes to find out just what this thing could do! Adjustments had to be made. Improvements were needed, so I turned to BMR, Pegasus, Hurst, and Camaro5(Justice Pete in particular for this one) for some much needed help in Chapter 4 of this build thread! I had power, now I just had to be able to put it down. I needed a solution.
Note: These wheels were 18x9.5 40mm offset.
