I considered the same thing not long ago. I found a killer deal on a 2018 ZL1 1LE with under 9k miles, and seriously considered it. But all in all, I couldn't justify upgrading to the newer wannabe Z28 when I could add the same power for probably 10k less than I'd end up paying for the car (15k after interest probably), so I stuck with the Z/28.
I agree with what others said; the tour setting will only impact steering, traction control aggressiveness, etc (btw, the Z28 has a tour button too), but it will do nothing for the DSSV suspension they put on there.
I had a 6th gen SS, and while I did love the car, I had 3 things I absolutely hated: the back seat should not exist (I do put small children back there and even they didnt fit really); there was no storage, at all; and the damn start button with no key backup...the 6th gens are notorious for heat soaked starters. My car would frequently *barely* turn over, even after short drives. Although it never actually failed, I always felt like it was just a matter of time before I was sitting there waiting for cool down.
I like the ZL1s, and I did consider a trade on both...but in the end, I like the look for the Z28 better, and you never see a Z28 (to my knowledge, there is only 1 other in Tampa)....and I really don't miss the amenities other than streaming music through bluetooth (which the receivers through the aux port work fine to workaround that little problem). Everything the car is missing, I can do with my phone in the car, so no biggie
As for the ZL1 1LE; the freakin spoiler looks ridiculous. If I wouldve gotten the other one, the spoiler would've been changed asap.
