Has anyone tried both setups? I'm looking for opinions.

The car is not a drag race car, nor is it a daily driver. It is a spirited driving weekend car and may occasionally see a track day or two per year. It never gets driven during the rain or inclement weather.

Also worth nothing is that it is a 2013 SS (LS3) with soon to be around 520rwhp, and an end goal of about 600rwhp (naturally aspirated).
I just noticed that you're running an 11" wheel in the rear. That is going to be a stretch for a 285 tire. I ran a 20x9 square when I swapped to 285 tires on all corners. If you're going square, 305's on all corners may be your best bet. JMHO.
