Just a quick comparison.....

I was reading part of Motor Trend earlier today and noticed something. So, I did a few calculations.....

They are currently "flogging" a Lexus IS-F in their long term fleet. They mention that it weighs in at 3806lbs and has 416HP. It also gives them a 0-60 time of 4.3 seconds.

Okay, you all see where I'm going for sure, but follow me.....

That gives the Lexus a 9.15lbs/HP rating.

From the specs document in the other thread...

The SS with the Auto is 3913lbs, 400HP = 9.78lbs/HP
The SS with the Manual is 3860lbs, 422HP = 9.15lbs/HP

Now, I know gearing and such play a big role in performance (the "little" Lexus uses an 8-spd tranny, so it could have a big gearing advantage), but it stands to reason that the Camaro will be able to put up some solid numbers right off the dealer lot.
