Unless you are set on the Hex vents for a specific look I would recommend looking for a 2014-2015 hood from an SS or Z/28 and just swapping your hood out for a 14-15. Then you can use the factory hood vent as it was designed (mounting attachment and all). I did that on my 2013 1LE. I found a complete 2014 hood that came with the vent and rain tray. Then I just swapped my stock hood out for this one. Yes the cowl lines don't line up perfectly but everyone that has seen my car both before and after could never tell. I always had to point out the slight mismatch. I had the hood wrapped in matte black then to match my stock 1LE hood. The hood I bought was black anyhow but I had it wrapped in the matte black because I like the 1LE look.
