Sometimes in life there's moments you just can't miss because you can't believe that they happen. Sunday November 17, 2019 was a day that I will talk about for years to come. A child, Alec Ingram 14 years old, was laid to rest after fighting for multiple years with a very are bone cancer. He was a true car enthusiast through everything. A few weeks prior to the 17th Alec was brought home with the grim news that it was near the end. He was granted a final wish and his wish was that he would be escorted to his final resting place by sports cars. When that wish was asked Sydneys Soldiers Always, an organization named after another childhood cancer child lost, reached out to the St. Louis, MO area car community to see if some people would be willing to escort Alec. Needless to say the response was overwhelming. Approximately 4,600 cars, trucks, motorcycles, and everything in-between from as far out as California to Florida and thousands from the St. Louis area came out to give Alec one last ride, one last cruise, and one thunderous engine rev dedication. I am glad to say that the SSHARK was able to participate and give one last cruise to one kid that loved cars. Here is a link to the Good Morning America article covering some of the events. Also, here is the link to the Facebook page dedicated to the event. There's discussion of an annual benefit car show to support childhood cancer research and help others kids like Alec not have to pay the ultimate price for a terrible disease if anyone is interested in participating in a great car show in the future. Rest in peace Alec. #teamalecforever #sportscarsforalec
