OP car is a V6. If oil level is full and radiator is full, then with engine cold, start it up and turn a/c on which should start the electric fans on the radiator spinning fast. I noticed on my car the electric engine bay fans turn on as soon as i turn the a/c on. If the fan in engine bay is turning at high speed then problem maybe a faulty temperature sensor or cooling system thermostat. I would not run the engine very long until you can confirm it is not actually overheating in order to prevent damage.
