This dealer is awesome! That's why I went a little further from home.
It is a little bit of a long story, but here we go:
I was looking for Carmaros...a couple dealers had them with $5000 to $12,000 (yes TWELVE THOUSAND) market mark-up. Not this guy, I have enough self-control to over-ride my enthusiasm.
This dealer sells all his cars at invoice + $98. There are also no dealer fees. Invoice + $98 + Tax + Title = final price.
They are a small family edalership in the "sticks" part of the Charleston area. Very intriging!!!
I called and was 15th on their list. He had an invoice coming in and within a onth I was first on the list. He had an invoice so I went down and put down a deposit. Car was 3 weeks away. Never showed.
Turned out it was a bonus over alocation unit and the distributer re-allocated to a different dealer without telling him. (I had actually signed a sales contract and paid for the car...had insurance and everything)
Sounds bad right? The wife is livid, so I go down and ask him how he was going to make it right?
And he did...ordered the new car (same but added RS package and now get the rear parking sonar standard).
He moved me to his #1 allocation. (I would have been #9 allocation at that time) This was a Monday (9/14)...the order was picked up on Thursday and I've been tracking it here ever since.
So he is selling me the car at supplier price (based on GM Active Duty Military and USAA) and giving me the rebates I didn't even know about.
Other than the pure frustration of the NO SHOW, which I believe was not his fault... he tried to buy any other Camaro from the other local dealers and they would not sell outright.
I am happy with them. I am satisfied... he was making it right with me as far as I am concerned.
I never talked to him again until Saturday. I knew my TPW was this week, I called and asked where we stood. They looked it up while I was on the phone and said it is on track to be built this week. Then he called the wife today, so they obviously checked without me asking.
I am way happy with these guys. It is almost hard to believe there are actually car dealers like this. There a a few other details, but I won't bore you.
