Only time I have ever been pulled over for tint down here was on my 1980 Monte Carlo. I had the front windshield tinted like a tank, with a limo strip on the top and bottom, leaving an 8 inch strip without tint.
This was in 1994 and I was 20 years old, when my balls were still bigger than my brains.
But I have noticed in Florida it that is the State Troopers that will usually pull over for a tint violation, and even that is rare. They tend to carry the testing kits.
