Some auto transmissions do puke up fluid on hard pulls, with fast shifting. The
5R55S does, so I put a catch can on the Vent. So, any fluid is recovered, and I can
fill it from there if needed.
180 degrees not hot? Optimally, you don't want temps over 175 degrees for an
auto trans. I know that seems impossible, but, my Ford 5R55S doesn't go much
over 180. It will stay in the high 170s when driving. It only goes up at idle,
and hard pulls.

The temps in my Camaro are much higher.
