Rebates do not affect dealership profit. Let's make this easy to understand. Rebates are from GM not the dealer. IF GM gives 3,000 rebate, that is 3000 that comes out of GM's pocket not the dealer.. So the dealer would payback the invoice pricing minus the 3000 rebates.
Dealers don't make much off selling new cars, as been stated before. Selling a used car yes, a dealership makes money, used no.
