Hahaha...yes. It most definitely is.
I'm about 30 minutes away...pretty much every small town and city you go to in this portion of the state is; some more so than others.
Well, personally...I don't like "country" music, I don't own a pair of cowboy boots, and you won't ever see me sporting a cowboy hat.
I may have lived in the South my entire life, but I certainly don't identify myself as being a "Southern Girl." But, that's just how I "roll," lol...my Dad grew up in Michigan, so maybe that's why?

However, A LOT of people that do live here, and the area itself, would most definitely fit the description, which is why I mentioned it being "Country" down here.

You know, peanut fields as far as the eye can see, tractors driving down the road, lifted Chevy 4x4's on every other corner...that kind of thing.
Like I said, I was just honestly surprised that the national meet-up is going to be held in Adel, of all places. I think it's awesome...and completely random, all at the same time, lol. I definitely didn't mean to allude to any "Deliverance," backwoods stereotypes...
However, don't hold me responsible if some good ole' boy compliments you on your "purdy mouth"...
