It is hard to describe the benefit to someone when you tell them that it makes no power. But if you tried one on our car/engine you would understand instantly. It changes the feel of the throttle immensely. Not everyone likes them, but most people that have them keep them. Since they are adjustable it helps to be able to tailor them to your driving style. I keep mine on SP6 (Scale is SP0-SP9 on the Vitesse). There is also an 'Eco' setting/scale, which is cool as a valet or mechanic/shop mode.

I took mine off once for a couple hours but I put it back on immediately as it made my car 'feel' sluggish. But I know I would get used to it without it just like I did to having it installed. I just prefer the car with it.

The way I described the throttle controller to my son was 'It's as if the car did a couple lines of cocaine, but without the massive debt, hookers, and insomnia'.
