I think there is a little something that GM can learn from this in the next 2 years. Volt doesn't have have to match Mercedes or BMW in looks and interior. All Volt has to do is come is the same price range as the other hybrids which is about 25k and look like one. Now, the concept looks like something out of a Science fiction movie. It doens't have to be that edgy and hot. It just has to work, like Bob Lutz said: "the best thing about the car is that it works. Jazz it up later once you got the powertrain working. They got 2 years to do that. I don't mind if the car has an acceleration comperable to that of mack truck. If you can get it up to a speed of at least 85 mph, and it works just like a normal everyday car, it's fine to me. I just hope you don't have to change that $15k Battery every 5 years or something. Might as well buy a new car for that. First thing is first. Camaro has to be a proven hit, SUV's have to slow production as the cross overs and Malibus come off the lines. Volt will be the the first step.
