Sorry guys, but the proper thing to do for winter storage is to put the vehicle on jackstands. Not for fear of flatspotting the tires, and not to unload suspension, but to releive the weight off your wheel bearings to prevent flat spotting them. It does happen and it has happened on my camaro after 5 months of sitting in one spot.
So unless you plan on driving it once every few weeks, i would put your car on stands.
