The EVO X is a hardcore track racer. No comparison to the Camaro. Plus the GSR is $34k and the MR is $39k. It rides very stiff but handle fantastic. The Camaro is a very sporty coupe that will handle real good and ride nice. The SS will handle better and ride a little stiffer. I was considering an EVO X MR but decided its too much of a track racer.
The cars I was considering was the BMW 135i, Infiniti G37S, STI, EVO X MR and maybe the G8 GXP. Now I am 99% sure I will get the Camaro SS LS3 manual. A perfect blend of power, good handling, looks, room and fun to drive. And the AWESOME sound of a REAL RWD V8 LS3 with dual exhaust.
