We did use the instructions that came with the kit, very detailed. We followed them step by step. I don't recall it exactly stating which way to route the hose, and to be quite honest I remember the picture being the only way it shows the "hoses are to be routed". I could be wrong. Or maybe I over looked it. I will check out guide in your thread and compare it. There is SO MUCH ROOM in front of the heat exchanger. I am amped by that space.
