I would stay with the dry type disposable filter. I am not a fan of the washable reusable filters which most if not all require some type of oiling after cleaning to keep the filtration material in check. Apparently a lot of people tend to over oil the filtration material leading to fouled MAF sensors or other engine issues. Plenty of people have shared their after the fact problems / challenges in various vehicle forums. Since I don’t use washable filters I can’t speak further to their performance claims. It is worth noting the Z/28 OEM dry filter was made by K&N, it is mentioned in this article:
