Well, from the Gen3 Hemi stuff, the 5.7 has this crappy looking plastic intake and the 6.1 has a really nice looking cast aluminum intake with larger/shorter runners and works well on the 6.1s

The 6.1 intakes suck on the 5.7's the ports size kills the intake charge velocities, you loose low end and don't make enough up on the top end to make up for the low end loss. It seems the Hemis really like port speeds ( our Street Strip heads are seeing 340cfm @ 28inchs at .500 as I recall on my heads ).

We have stock 80mm TB's and we don't see a gain on the 90's unless you are running a HUGE cam or spinning the motor to the upper end.

We don't really see gains on TBs until we are in the 392 to 440ci motors.

One thing you all have us beat on is being able to spin the motors higher, we are stuck at 6800 even one our built motors. we still have Valve spring issues and computer issues going beyond that in the Auto cars.

I just cant see getting all that much from a "fairly" stock motor with a 102mm TB bs say an 85 or 90.
