The BAP doing this is normal. MY car is fine for months without starting it. Your gauge is more likely the issue. gauges should power off completely. charge battery. remove negative battery cable. hook a test light or multimeter between the negative battery terminal and the disconnected cable. pull fuses until the light goes out or multimeter shows the draw drop out. that circuit is where the draw is.
