Are you running the fluid level at the "stock" level? Or do you have a JRE dipstick and run it a half quart over? You may have had a fluid loss to the filter on the quick hit of the throttle and the sudden forward movement and it couldn't pick it up until you let off and it caught back up to the filter/pump. I had this happen a couple times going around a corner and romping on it and it downshifted and wouldn't upshift until I let off. Was kinda of annoying to say the least. And I was is sport mode which I drive in all the time.
