I have a V6 and I am not about to try to explain why, I don't owe anyone an explanation.
My "friend" said "I wouldn't have gotten a V6." I probably could have gotten a V8 for a little more than what I paid for my baby, but then he would've probably said "I wouldn't have gotten a car without leather, or a sunroof, or the RS package." Even if I got a 2SS RS with every option available he probably would've said "For that type of money I would've gotten a Corvette."
My point is that most people drool over this car at first sight, regardless of the engine size, and when some guys realize that what you have looks better to them than what they have, they'll try to tear yours down in an effort to feel better about themselves, starting with the engine. Even if someone giving you grief has a V8,they undoubtedly wish it looked like your car (and if its an SS owner, shame on them)
Some people are just haters by nature, and can't stand to see someone with a smile on their face. By the way, my "friend" drives a Caprice.
