My point is that most people drool over this car at first sight, regardless of the engine size, and when some guys realize that what you have looks better to them than what they have, they'll try to tear yours down in an effort to feel better about themselves, starting with the engine. Even if someone giving you grief has a V8,they undoubtedly wish it looked like your car (and if its an SS owner, shame on them)

But what I don't get is why some V6 Camaro owners are so sensitive and feel obliged to explain and rationalize why they got the V6 instead of the V8. I have respect for those who own a LS or LT that admit they "settled" for the V6 for whatever reasons but they really wanted the SS. That's all good.
But for most, if you bought a Camaro, you are a car person, it means you like sportscar/musclecars and if there were no reasons to prevent you from getting the SS, you certainly would have gotten the SS. Sure there is that small % of V6 owners who already have high-hp cars in their stable but they just want the new-look Camaro for daily duties.
I am not a V6 Camaro Hater. I love cars period. If you are happy with what you have, follow Donna's example. I respect that. When you start explaining and rationalizing why you have a V6, it just makes it obvious that you weighed your decision and you found yourself wanting.
Many of us here are true car guys/gals and one thing car guys/gals find annoying.....we find Poseours annoying. (sp?)
