I wouldn't delete that info (it's good it's in his reply). It might help someone else who has the 71 code and simply a sensor bad not replacing expensive modules. It sounds like the gm tech is correct in this particular car but a broader understanding of some problems is good too. It's helpful he replied why it's not the case here too.
