I respect the heritage, but this is not the 60's-70's.
I vote SS/RS for 5th gens. The SS being the dominante role in this relationship. Thats why if you get the RS package, the RS still doesn't get put on the car because they wanted it to be known as the SS regardless... The red tint shows those of us who even know about the RS package that it is an RS.. (you wouldn't know unless you know atleast a little bit about your Camaro) therefor the RS is obviously not as important to advertise andddd soo....
SS/RS.
And I agree with something along the lines of what someone said previously...
You wouldn't say Oh.. I got the RS Camaro with the v8 package or SS package....
NO SIR... v8 is the first thing that gets mentioned.. "SS camaro, with the RS package." SS is not a package. therefor not an added "accessory" It is the type of Camaro you got.
As for the old English technicality.... I am pretty sure they don't utilize any of that when naming cars in USA/Canada.
I drive an SS/RS You can drive your RS/SS if you want !!
Here is another Scenario.
I met a "Canadian Girl named Megan".
I have an SS Camaro with the RS package. In order of appearance - SS-RS = SS/RS
Canadian & SS describe the "type" Girl/Camaro describe the "subject" and Megan/RS describe the extra identifying detail that seperates it from the others.
Thats how I see it anyways.
