Some of us spend thousands of dollars (Jay Leno spends millions) to drive down a street and have some obese over the hill woman (who dissed you in high school) with 8 kids smile at you -- is this the validity that we want today?

I don't think it's that serious. You're looking into it too deep.
Just saying the car is special and stands out. Sometimes you see a piece of machinery and you know it was built with special intentions and for special purposes. That's all.
