If you enjoy pictures, attached is another view of the baffled replacement versus OE. As an aside, I took pictures of every single thing with my new build. I need to get them updated in my build thread, but I digress…

Perhaps it’s a combination of the different pan setup as well as the capabilities between the platforms. Clearly the Z28 proved the Zeta II can do it, but it certainly wasn’t coming as easy as the Corvette. That said - and this is just for posterity - the LS7 and manual transmission Grand Sport LS3 are the only dry sump setups GM have us. Considering the GS is for intents and purposes a Z06 without the LS7, it also makes sense.
