Since the Zs are starting to get passed on to their 3rd, 4th (or more) owners I thought it would be a good idea to resuscitate this thread for newer owners and add a no-brainer I employed today while performing my wash ritual. Along with many other Z owners I remove the water tray from the hood. Of course for a wash I reinstall it with one of the annoying little retainer pins. As luck would have it I dropped one piece down into the engine bay. Oh s#!t. Got lucky, it was on the rad support so no big deal. Then it occurred to me: throw down a big towel so if I fumble-finger again I won't end up playing an aggravating game of "Where's Waldo?". Plenty of you guys may already do this but sometimes I'm late to the party.
